About the College
Establishment and History
The college was established in 1988 in Karbala Governorate, initially comprising the Department of Mechanics and the Department of Accounting. Instruction began in the 1988–1989 academic year, with an enrollment that year of 450 male and female students in the Department of Mechanics and 218 male and female students in the Department of Accounting. The college subsequently underwent notable expansion at all levels, both in the number of admitted students and in the number of departments.
Graduates are awarded the Diploma and the Technical Bachelor’s degree. The Diploma is equivalent to three years of study, comprising two full academic years plus an additional year corresponding to a summer training period. The college follows a course-based system that gives practical training precedence over theoretical instruction in its curricula.
The college aims to prepare technical personnel in technological, administrative, and medical specializations, qualified to serve as mid-level cadres across various sectors, by providing technical education that makes graduates more distinguished and competent, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in order to keep pace with scientific and technological developments.

College Location
The college is located in the Al-Jadwal Al-Gharbi (Western Canal) subdistrict, east of Karbala Governorate, 13 km from the governorate center, on the road connecting Karbala and Babil governorates.
