College Board

It is the highest administrative body in the college, and it has the following powers:

Board Powers

Approving the college’s policy and its development in the scientific, technical, and cultural fields.
Setting the admission plan by department or scientific branch, its specific conditions, and following up on its implementation.
Developing plans for scientific research, authorship and translation, providing teaching resources, securing faculty members, and community service.
Supervising the college’s affairs and overseeing its various scientific, cultural, educational, and sports activities.
Discussing faculty members’ requests for academic leave inside and outside the country in accordance with the University Service Law, and forwarding approved requests to the University Board.
Forming a plagiarism-review committee for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, and a committee for checking online plagiarism, for the purpose of accepting or rejecting academic promotion requests to be discussed at the College Board.
Approving the research plan for faculty members in the scientific departments.
Discussing faculty members’ academic promotion requests and forwarding them to the University Board.
Developing plans for establishing new departments, scientific branches, research centers and units; proposing the creation, merger, or dissolution of departments or scientific branches; and distributing curricula across academic years.
Submitting the admission plan for the scientific departments to the University Board for approval.
Discussing proposals for curriculum changes and introducing updates to ensure continuous academic quality, on a periodic basis, in line with the spirit of the times and the scientific and technological developments seen at leading institutes.
Recommending the granting of study leave within the Republic of Iraq to institute staff, based on a proposal from the relevant department or scientific branch.
Concluding scientific and cultural agreements with peer institutes inside and outside the country and forwarding them to the University for ratification.
Recommending to the University that an academic year be counted as a non-failing year for a student who faces problems and difficulties beyond their control that prevent regular attendance and participation in final exams, once the board is satisfied with their case.
Imposing disciplinary penalties on students in accordance with applicable regulations.
Directing the assignment of bachelor’s degree holders to deliver theoretical lectures as needed.

College Administration

A group of administrations, units, and departments that work in an integrated manner according to an organized mechanism and defined strategies to meet the college’s needs and develop its infrastructure in all its forms — in addition to preparing administrative, financial, security and safety plans, as well as media aspects and local and international relations, and everything else that serves the college’s staff and students.
