Within the framework of enhancing health and preventive awareness, the Women’s Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Accounting Technology Department, held a scientific seminar titled “The Importance of Self-Examination in the Early Detection of Breast Diseases.” This aimed to highlight preventive methods and raise the level of health awareness among female staff and students.
The seminar witnessed the discussion of several main axes, foremost of which were:
- Providing a detailed explanation of breast cancer symptoms and a general overview of associated diseases, alongside educating the institute’s female staff and students on prevention methods and self-examination techniques.
- Explaining the approved medical procedures at Imam Hussein Medical City Hospital in Holy Karbala, and the facilities provided to patients for the purpose of early detection and treatment.
The seminar took place amidst distinguished interaction and attendance, reflecting the keenness to spread a health culture within the academic environment.
