Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ridha Marza, Head of the Community Health Technology Department at Karbala Polytechnic College – Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, published scientific research titled:

“The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Delivery of Healthcare Services for Hematology and Oncology Patients: A Retrospective Two-Center Study in Kazakhstan” in a reputable international scientific journal indexed in Scopus.

The research was the culmination of a joint scientific collaboration with a research team from the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at evaluating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality and continuity of healthcare services delivered to patients with hematological and oncological conditions. The findings underscored the necessity of reinforcing health system resilience and ensuring uninterrupted specialized medical care during crises, thereby informing health policy development and improving future crisis management protocols.

This study marks a significant addition to the scholarly output of Karbala Polytechnic College, exemplifying the dedication of its researchers to fostering international partnerships and publishing impactful applied research in esteemed global journals.
