A delegation from the Tourism Technology Department at Karbala Polytechnic College visited the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala. The delegation was headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Laila Jawad Hussein, Head of the Department, and included academic staff members Rasoul Taher Al-Asadi, the Department Rapporteur, and Shubbar Abdul-Muslim Abdul-Hussein.

The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Salam Al-Asadi, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences. During the meeting, a number of topics of mutual interest were discussed, most notably the activation of cooperation mechanisms in the cultural and educational fields, which contributes to developing the educational process through training students and academic staff and the exchange of expertise.

The two sides also discussed ways to develop academic curricula and the mechanisms for selecting the most appropriate ones in alignment with the outcomes of higher education and keeping pace with labor market requirements, in addition to studying opportunities to activate cooperation with the private sector.

Prof. Dr. Salam Al-Asadi expressed his congratulations on the occasion of the institute’s transition into a college, affirming his keenness to enhance the horizons of cooperation in various fields in a way that serves the educational journey and enhances shared expertise between the two institutions.

This visit comes as part of a series of initiatives organized by the Tourism Technology Department at Karbala Polytechnic College to communicate with academic institutions in the public and private sectors. It aims to open up to practical reality and sign memoranda of understanding that would serve students and develop the scientific pathway.
