Renewable Energy Engineering Technology

The Renewable Energy Technologies Department is one of the departments of Karbala Polytechnic College. Established in 2022, it is considered one of the pioneering departments concerned with teaching and developing technical knowledge in the field of renewable energy, keeping pace with the global trend towards achieving environmental sustainability and utilizing clean energy sources. The department aims to prepare specialized technical cadres capable of designing, operating, and maintaining renewable energy systems, particularly solar and wind energy systems. The department relies on a blend of theoretical education and practical training to qualify students according to the needs of the local and regional labor market.

To be a pioneering model in technical education and scientific research in the field of sustainable energy, and an active contributor to achieving economic development and reducing environmental damage and pollution at both the local and regional levels.

To prepare graduates who possess the necessary knowledge and skills to work in renewable energy fields, while enhancing innovation and applied research to support the transition toward a sustainable society relying on clean energy sources.

2. Acquiring the manual skills necessary to carry out periodic maintenance operations.


3. Managing and operating sustainable energy production and distribution stations from their multiple sources.
