The department was established in 1988. The department includes several laboratories, including (Principles of Accounting Lab, Government Accounting Lab, Unified Accounting System Lab, Specialized Accounting Lab, and Computer Lab).

1. Maintaining accounting records of all types, organizing documents, and preparing trial balances.
2. Participating in continuous or final inventory work, especially in committees requiring a financial member, and engaging in internal auditing of financial data.
3. Performing reconciliations and preparing statements related to assigned tasks.
4. Handling cashier duties and related procedures.
5. Organizing payroll lists and advances, and managing the calculation and disbursement of salaries.
6. Working in cost accounting departments and contributing to the allocation of costs to different cost centers and posting them to cost records.
7. Utilizing new technologies in their area of specialization.
