Within the framework of the active scientific presence of the academic staff of Karbala Polytechnic College and their participation in supervising research and postgraduate studies, the Head of the Medical Laboratory Technology Department, Prof. Dr. Salem Hussein Hassan, participated in supervising a master’s thesis at the Health and Medical Technical College / Kufa, affiliated with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
The thesis, titled “The Role of the Immune System in the Pathogenesis of Epilepsy,” addressed the relationship between immune system functions and the pathogenic mechanisms associated with epilepsy. This contributes to enhancing the scientific understanding of the immune factors associated with the disease and supplying specialized studies in this field.
The participation of Prof. Dr. Salem Hussein Hassan in supervising the thesis comes as an affirmation of the academic and research presence of Karbala Polytechnic College’s academic staff, and their role in supporting postgraduate students and developing scientific research in health and medical specializations.
This participation aligns with the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting scientific research, expanding the areas of academic cooperation, and enhancing the role of academic staff in supervising specialized studies and research that contribute to serving the community and developing scientific knowledge.
