The academic staff member at Karbala Polytechnic College, Jaafar Hassan Ajam, obtained a Ph.D. degree from the University of Babylon for his thesis titled: “A Phono-Pragmatic Study of Riposte in Football Press Conferences.”
The thesis addressed the study of responses and discursive situations in football press conferences from a phono-pragmatic perspective, focusing on how language, sound, and context are employed in formulating responses and interacting with various questions and situations during sports press conferences.
This defense comes within the scientific and research pathway of Karbala Polytechnic College’s academic staff and the academic progress they achieve, which contributes to enhancing the college’s scientific record and developing its specializations and educational outcomes.
