Within the framework of implementing the directives of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, under the sponsorship of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of Karbala Polytechnic College, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Dhaher, the Karbala Polytechnic College procession continues to provide its health and first aid services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), as part of the service and humanitarian program implemented by the college during the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage days.

The medical staff in the procession provide continuous primary healthcare to the pilgrims, including first aid for emergency cases and vital signs measurement, as well as providing health and preventive guidance that contributes to maintaining the safety of the pilgrims. This enables them to complete their journey to Holy Karbala safely and securely, especially given the significant physical exertion that accompanies the walking journey.

The Dean of the College emphasized that the health services provided by the procession represent a fundamental aspect of the comprehensive service plan prepared by the college to serve the pilgrims. He noted that this initiative embodies the academic institution’s mission in serving the community and reflects the spirit of giving, solidarity, and volunteer work that the college’s affiliates and students are keen to embody on this blessed occasion.

The Dean also praised the sincere efforts exerted by the medical, academic, and administrative staff, as well as the volunteer students, valuing their dedication in performing their humanitarian duty and their keenness to provide the best health services to the pilgrims around the clock.

The continuation of these services comes as part of a series of initiatives implemented by the Karbala Polytechnic College procession during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, in alignment with the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in consolidating social responsibility, enhancing the culture of volunteer work, and actively contributing to serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
