The Community Health Technology Department / Karbala Technical Institute, in cooperation with the Career Rehabilitation Unit (CDC), held a training program titled “Rules and Principles of Health and Safety in Various Work Sites” for second-stage students of the Community Health Technology Department for the period from December 13-14, 2022.
During the program, the department rapporteur, academic staff member Lect. Mohammed Abdul Baqi Abdul Muhsin, provided a general overview of the concept of occupational health and safety and the types of hazards present in the work environment (physical, chemical, biological, psychological, and mechanical), in addition to work accidents and injuries. He also touched upon occupational safety standards in scientific laboratories. The training program was attended by a number of graduates from the Community Health Technology Department.
