Within the strategy of Karbala Polytechnic College to enhance the academic and applied path and consolidate a culture of innovation in the health field, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Dhaher, inaugurated the third annual scientific exhibition organized by the Community Health Technologies Department under the slogan “Towards Sustainable Innovation in the Medical Field.” The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Sharifi, along with a number of faculty members and students.
The exhibition aims to translate the scientific knowledge acquired by students during the academic year into practical applications that contribute to developing their professional and scientific skills.
The exhibition included a group of scientific and applied pavilions through which students showcased their specialized skills. These included medical laboratories featuring blood analyses and clinical chemistry tests, along with live demonstrations in the fields of microbiology and general anatomy. Furthermore, there were practical applications concerning intravenous blood drawing skills and the mechanisms of health inspection and control, highlighting their role in protecting society.
The event also witnessed a number of cultural and awareness activities, including a lecture addressing the importance of religious commitment and its role in building awareness and positive behavior. In addition, there were scientific presentations reviewing the most prominent epidemic diseases the world has witnessed, leading up to the Corona pandemic, alongside a display of interactive panels and illustrative tools designed by students to simplify medical concepts in a modern scientific manner.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the Head of the Community Health Technologies Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ridha Marza, presented the Shield of Cooperation to the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Dhaher, in appreciation of his continuous support for scientific and student activities.
The Dean, with the participation of Iraqi Parliament Member Mrs. Ibtisam Al-Hilali, also distributed certificates of appreciation to the distinguished students in recognition of their scientific and practical efforts and their active contribution to the success of the exhibition.
The College Deanship affirmed that these events represent an important step in preparing health cadres who possess scientific and applied skills capable of keeping pace with modern developments in the medical sector, thereby enhancing the academic institution’s role in serving society.
This activity comes in the context of the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at elevating the quality of university education and enhancing innovation and sustainability in various scientific disciplines.
