Within the directions of the Electrical Engineering Technology Department at Karbala Polytechnic College to keep pace with modern scientific and technical developments, the department organized a scientific seminar titled “Smart Control of Electrical Devices Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques,” with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and those interested in modern technical fields.

The seminar, presented by Asst. Lect. Zuhair Ramzi Khalil, addressed the concept of smart control systems and their role in developing the performance of electrical devices by employing artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning techniques to analyze data and make autonomous decisions. This contributes to raising operational efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and improving the reliability of electrical systems.

The lecturer also reviewed a number of practical applications for smart control in lighting systems, air conditioning systems, and electrical motors, in addition to Smart Home Systems. He explained the mechanism of connecting sensors to microcontrollers and smart processing platforms to achieve instantaneous and accurate responses to environmental variables.

The seminar witnessed fruitful scientific interaction from the attendees through interventions and questions that focused on the possibility of employing these technologies in educational laboratories and graduation projects, as well as the prospects for their application in the industrial and service sectors.

This activity comes within the framework of the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at enhancing the scientific environment supporting innovation, and elevating the quality of technical education to keep pace with the requirements of technological development and serve society.
