The Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students at Karbala Polytechnic College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadel Al-Yasiri, supervised a Master’s thesis discussed at the Administrative Technical College – Kufa, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, titled: “The Impact of Sustainable Financial Disclosure and Corporate Performance on the Market Value of the Company in Light of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Standards.”
Student Ali Naqi Salem Ghalib Hussein from the Accounting Technology Department presented the study, which aimed to demonstrate the impact of sustainable financial disclosure and corporate performance in enhancing the company’s market value, while adhering to environmental, social, and governance standards. This contributes to supporting financial transparency and improving the level of trust among investors and stakeholders.
The study recommended the necessity of enhancing the application of sustainable financial disclosure standards in companies, working to adopt good governance practices, and adhering to environmental and social standards, due to its positive impact on corporate sustainability and achieving higher market value in the long term.
This activity falls within the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and Karbala Polytechnic College to enhance scientific research and support applied studies that contribute to developing institutional performance and raising the level of financial transparency in economic institutions.
