The Student Activities Division at the Karbala Polytechnic College serves as a fundamental pillar for nurturing students’ athletic, artistic, and literary talents, aiming to invest their free time in meaningful extracurricular activities. The division’s responsibilities range from organizing training courses in Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation to hosting art exhibitions, poetry festivals, and intellectual competitions, alongside managing both individual and team sports tournaments. Furthermore, the division plays a leading community role by supervising voluntary campaigns, campus beautification projects, and participating in scouting camps, all of which contribute to building the student’s character and honing leadership and physical skills to serve both the educational process and society. Notably, the name “Extracurricular Activities Division” was introduced by the Commission of Technical Education in 2007; the department was previously known as the “University Sports Unit.”
