As part of the field activities organized by the Electrical Engineering Technology Department at Karbala Polytechnic College, the department arranged a scientific field visit to the General Company for Electric Power Production in Karbala. The visit included a group of students supervised by several faculty members.
The excursion aimed to reinforce the students’ practical knowledge by providing direct exposure to the operational systems at power generation stations. Students observed production stages and control mechanisms firsthand, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real-world scenarios.
Company officials welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed explanation of the modern technologies used in electric power generation. They also answered the students’ inquiries regarding operational and technical aspects.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students and supervisors expressed their gratitude to the company’s management for their hospitality and cooperation. They emphasized the importance of continuing such scientific visits, which play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application, thereby broadening the students’ understanding of their field.
