The Karbala Technical Institute, part of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a mass protest to denounce the brutal aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participants strongly rejected the attack, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and national sovereignty, and expressed full solidarity with the neighboring Iranian people in confronting this aggression.
The protest began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the reading of Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs of the Islamic Republic and the Palestinian people. In his address during the gathering, Professor Dr. Fadhil Mohammed Thahir, Dean of the Institute, reaffirmed the Institute’s firm stance in rejecting all forms of aggression against Islamic nations. He emphasized the importance of Islamic unity in facing the challenges and threats that undermine the region’s security and stability. He also called for intensified regional and international efforts to safeguard state sovereignty and uphold the rights of peoples.
Following the Dean’s speech, images and video clips were presented documenting the war crimes committed during the aggression, along with footage showing the Islamic Republic’s response and its impact on the aggressor entity—highlighting the scale of destruction and consequences.
This protest was part of a series of demonstrations organized by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which urged all educational and cultural institutions in Iraq and across the Islamic world to condemn the aggression and adopt a united stance against all forms of assault and violations. The university stressed the importance of raising awareness among younger generations about the necessity of defending legitimate peoples’ rights and resisting injustice and aggression wherever it occurs.
