Karbala Technical Institute, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, welcomed Mr. Hamed Abbas Al-Mousawi, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Iraq, during an official visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and the federal government.
The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Fadhel Mohammed Thahir, Dean of Karbala Technical Institute, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Fadhel Neama, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and a number of faculty members. A brief presentation was delivered highlighting the academic and research programs implemented by the institute, along with a review of its notable achievements across various technical disciplines.
During his meeting with faculty and students, Advisor Al-Mousawi commended the leading role played by Karbala Technical Institute in preparing qualified technical professionals who meet labor market demands. He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to supporting academic development initiatives and aligning educational outcomes with the country’s economic growth strategies. The visit also included discussions on prospects for future cooperation and ways to support research and innovation projects that contribute to community development. At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Al-Mousawi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised the efforts of the institute’s leadership and teaching staff in advancing the quality of technical education in Iraq
