1. Managing the department’s mail and supervising its seven units.
2. Issuing task facilitation letters for the research of faculty members and students.
3. Issuing no-objection letters and administrative orders for scientific trips.
4. Following the government program, which includes documenting all activities and events of the academic departments monthly.
5. Managing the files of hazardous chemical and biological materials.
6. Managing the collaboration files.
7. Managing the awareness committee files.
8. Managing the systematic training files.
9. Managing the files for book writing and translation.

1. Scientific Research Unit:
Unit Head: Mr. Falah Hassan Jaber, Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Responsible for:
1.Following up on the institute’s annual research plan and submitting periodic reports to the university.
2.Issuing plagiarism reports.
3.Managing scientific output files.
4.Managing patent files.
2. Continuing Education Unit:
Unit Head: Mrs. Zainab Abdulhussein
Responsible for:
1.Preparing and completing the annual training plan.
2.Issuing residence orders, direct orders, and separations, and submitting them to the university along with tracking forms for each training program.
3.Preparing and completing the scientific and educational plans and additional programs, issuing orders for each.
4.Preparing the annual plan for workshops and seminars, issuing administrative orders for each event.
5.Organizing welfare and community service programs.
6.Preparing annual statistics related to the scientific plan as required by the university.
7.Organizing proficiency courses for graduate studies.
8.Organizing staff promotion courses.
9.Organizing teaching methods and training courses.
3. Studies, Planning, and Scientific Promotion Unit:
Unit Head: Eng. Rahim Abdul Mohammed, Master’s in Financial and Banking Sciences
Responsible for:
1.Managing the file for academic promotions of faculty members.
2.Managing the file for the establishment of academic departments.
3.Managing the file for data and information systems.
4.Managing the file for statistics.
5.Managing the file for planning.
6.Managing the file for the admission plan.
7.Managing the file for assignments.
8.Updating the staff members’ data on the ministry’s official website for the statistical system of human resources.
9.Updating the staff members’ data on the university’s website for the operational movement system.
10.Preparing official letters for faculty members granting permission to deliver lectures and supervise graduate students at the Middle Euphrates University and other universities.
4. Summer Training Unit:
Unit Head: Abdul Hakeem Abdul Hafiz, Technical Diploma in Computer Systems
Responsible for:
1.Managing the booking of training locations in public and private sector departments in Karbala Governorate for:
2.Institute students required to take summer training.
3.Students from technical colleges and institutes in other governorates training within the geographical area of our institute.
4.Distributing students to training locations based on their specialties.
5.Issuing administrative orders for assigning scientific supervisors to training sites.
6.Issuing administrative orders confirming whether institute students have completed their summer training.
7.Issuing administrative orders confirming supervisors’ approval at training sites and sending copies to the financial department for payment.
8.Issuing appreciation letters for supervisors working at training sites for their efforts in training students.
9.Organizing official letters and attaching student evaluation forms, then sending them to their colleges and technical institutes.
5. Scholarships, Cultural Relations, and Graduate Studies Unit:
Unit Head: Khalid Isa Hassan, Technical Diploma in Office Management
Responsible for:
1.Following up on students studying both domestically and abroad.
2.Sending periodic reports to follow up on graduate and undergraduate students, with three reports annually.
3.Monitoring and reporting on foreign delegations each month.
4.Opening academic files for graduate and undergraduate students, as well as scholarship and fellowship recipients.
5.Sending the academic leave plans for graduate students (both domestic and abroad) to the university, by department and specialty.
6. Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit:
Unit Head: Dr. Hussein Mohammed Ali Asad, PhD in Tourism Sciences
Responsible for:
1.Developing professional skills for graduates and continuing students, such as communication, teamwork, time management, CV writing, and interview techniques (soft skills).
2.Training graduates and continuing students by providing them with scientific knowledge to prepare them for the job market.
3.Collaborating with public and private sector volunteers to organize free programs and courses for students and graduates.
4.Establishing advisory and scientific coordination councils with industry partners.
5.Organizing and managing job fairs, including a database for available permanent and temporary jobs.
6.Supporting and marketing innovative initiatives and patents that can be turned into projects.
7.Coordinating training programs under the supervision of employers, institutions, and companies.
7. Technological Incubator Unit:
Unit Head: Yasser Hashim Ali, Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Responsible for:
1.Supporting ideas of any type (productive, service, supporting, advisory).
2.Transforming creative ideas into products by providing the necessary resources and personnel for implementation, then marketing them for use by institutions or for community service to support the national economy.
