The Citizen Affairs Unit is an administrative unit under the Office of the respected Dean, established on 3rd May 2017.

To address the concerns of citizens by receiving their requests, issues, suggestions, and inquiries related to the college and working to resolve them through the relevant authorities. In this context, “citizens” refers to the students, staff (teaching, technical, and administrative), and external visitors of the college. The unit is considered one of the important and effective ones, as it plays a significant role in providing services to citizens, solving their problems, and meeting their needs as quickly as possible. This unit reflects a civilizational state in developed societies and institutionalized states, strengthening the relationship between the citizen and the college in a framework of transparency and mutual respect.

  1. Represent the Citizen Affairs Unit and the respected Dean in matters concerning the citizens, including students, staff (teaching, technical, administrative), and external visitors.

  2. Provide the best facilities and services to citizens, overcoming any difficulties they may encounter at the college and ensuring their transactions are completed within the designated timeframes.

  3. Direct supervision of organizing meetings with the respected President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, as per the directives.

  4. Direct supervision of organizing meetings with the respected Dean to listen to citizens’ complaints and requests.

  5. Respond to inquiries from visitors concerning matters related to the college and direct them to the relevant departments or sections.

  6. Reflect a civilizational state in developed societies and institutionalized states, reinforcing the relationship between the citizen and the college within a framework of transparency and mutual respect.


  1. Receiving citizens, listening to their grievances, and directing them to the relevant department, division, or unit.

  2. Responding to inquiries and providing answers in accordance with legal provisions.

  3. Communicating with Associate Deans, scientific and administrative departments, divisions, and units regarding citizen requests or to obtain an official opinion on the matter.

  4. Drafting requests clearly using the unit’s exclusive official form.

  5. Receiving all requests addressed to the Dean and presenting them for his review and decision.

  6. Receiving all interview requests for the University President and coordinating with the University’s Citizens' Affairs Division to schedule appointments.

  7. Direct contact with the University’s Citizens' Affairs Division if a request or grievance specifically concerns the University President.

  8. Monitoring the Citizens' Complaint Box on a daily basis.

  9. Following the University’s Citizens' Affairs digital group (where statements are considered official) to expedite the process of receiving and delivering correspondence.

  10. Receiving citizen requests via the unit's official email and responding to their inquiries electronically.
