The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the Karbala Polytechnic College is dedicated to preparing students and graduates and providing them with the soft skills and intellectual expertise necessary to achieve career stability. The unit serves as a vital bridge connecting academic talents to the labor market by establishing partnerships, advisory labor councils, and organizing permanent and temporary job fairs. It also offers comprehensive counseling services and training programs in cooperation with both the public and private sectors, as well as incubation for creative initiatives and patents to transform them into promising investment projects.

Unit Director : Lect. Dr. Amjad Jaafar Bahr Al-Uloom

The unit’s mission is to organize a variety of activities and events aimed at university students and graduates to equip them with the essential components for success and career stability. It also works on establishing partnerships with recruitment agencies and offers advisory services to students and graduates regarding available job opportunities.

  1. Developing professional skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, CV writing, and interview techniques (soft skills).

  2. Training current students and graduates by providing them with scientific and practical knowledge to prepare them for entry into the job market.

  3. Collaborating with volunteers from the public and private sectors to organize free programs and courses for students and graduates.

  4. Establishing work councils to coordinate advisory and scientific activities with industry partners.

  5. Creating and managing job fairs, including organizing a database of available permanent and temporary positions and publicizing them.

  6. Coordinating and organizing training programs under the supervision of employers, institutions, and companies.

  7. Incubating and promoting innovative initiatives and patents that can be translated into practical projects.
