Institute Board<\/h3>

The highest administrative authority within the institute, endowed with the following powers and responsibilities:<\/h5>

– Approving the institute’s policies and overseeing their development in scientific, technical, and cultural domains.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Establishing the admission plan for each department or academic branch, setting the specific conditions, and ensuring its proper implementation.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Formulating plans for scientific research, publishing, and translation, as well as providing the necessary educational resources, faculty members, and services to the community.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Overseeing the institute’s activities, with particular focus on its scientific, cultural, educational, and sporting endeavors.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Reviewing and approving requests for academic leave for faculty members both within the country and abroad, in accordance with the University Service Law, and forwarding them to the University Board after approval.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Establishing a plagiarism committee to review master\u2019s theses, doctoral dissertations, and online content for plagiarism, to assess and decide on faculty promotion requests before submitting them for discussion at the Institute Board.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Approving the research plans of faculty members within the academic departments.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Reviewing and approving faculty promotion requests and forwarding them to the University Board for further action.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Planning the creation of new departments, academic branches, research centers, and units, and proposing the establishment, merging, or abolition of departments and branches as necessary. This includes overseeing the distribution of curricula across academic years.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Submitting the admission plan for the academic departments to the University Board for final approval.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Reviewing proposals for curriculum revisions and implementing regular updates to ensure continuous improvement in alignment with contemporary academic standards and technological advancements in advanced educational institutions.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Recommending the granting of study leave for institute staff within the Republic of Iraq, based on proposals from the relevant academic departments or branches.<\/h5>

\u00a0<\/p>

– Entering into academic and cultural agreements with counterpart institutions both domestically and internationally, and submitting these agreements to the University Board for ratification.<\/h5>

– Recommending to the University Board the approval of “non-failure years” for students facing extraordinary circumstances beyond their control, which prevent regular attendance and participation in final examinations.<\/h5>

– Imposing disciplinary actions on students in accordance with the established regulations.<\/h5>

– Directing the assignment of bachelor\u2019s degree holders to deliver theoretical lectures when necessary.<\/h5>
