Recognizing the strategic and geographical prominence of the Karbala Governorate, rich in archaeological, heritage, cultural, and national tourism assets, and leveraging the robust material infrastructure and specialized academic faculty in tourism and allied sciences at our college and university, the department was established to address specialized labor market imperatives. It serves as a dedicated polytechnic framework providing technical, managerial, and logistical support to tourism operators, travel bureaus, airports, hotels, restaurants, and transit networks across the holy province of Karbala and adjacent regions. The department is dedicated to the academic study and development of tourism, hospitality services, and human capital qualification. Its curriculum seamlessly bridges theoretical knowledge with practical polytechnic applications to keep pace with a rapidly expanding market, emphasizing strategic planning, organization, marketing, management, and legislative frameworks within the travel and tourism sectors.
