About the Department
The department was established in 1994. The department includes a group of laboratories, including (Chemistry Laboratory, Medical Microbiology Laboratory, Fundamentals of Nursing Laboratory, Pathology Laboratory, and Physiology and Anatomy Laboratory).
The department strives to achieve quality and excellence, and to provide the community with highly qualified mid-level medical staff that keeps pace with scientific advancements.
Qualifying medical technical cadres with a high scientific level through the use of the latest technologies in nursing therapeutic services, occupational safety, and health surveillance.
The department aims to graduate technical staff capable of working in the fields of (Occupational Health and Safety, Inspection, and Health Surveillance), assisting in the implementation of primary health surveillance and health awareness campaigns, and supporting physicians with diagnostic procedures within programs conducted in health centers.
The graduate shall be qualified to work within:
Health inspection and surveillance teams, and assisting in the laboratory examination of samples and verifying their compliance with health standards.
The field of Occupational Health and Safety.
Implementation of primary healthcare programs.
Health survey teams and health awareness campaigns.
Assisting physicians with diagnostic, nursing, and therapeutic procedures during the implementation of health programs.
Operating and maintaining medical equipment, as well as instruments used in diagnosis and treatment.
Teams conducting surveys for communicable diseases and methods for their control.
