Within the framework of Karbala Polytechnic College’s directions towards expanding its educational pathways and introducing study programs that respond to labor market requirements and provide students with more diverse academic and professional options, the college announced the introduction of evening studies for the 2026–2027 academic year in four new departments, alongside the continuation of evening studies in a number of previously accredited departments and specializations.
The newly introduced specializations include Business Administration Technology, Tourism Technology, Finance and Banking Technology, and Information Technology Engineering, which reflects the college’s direction to enhance administration, finance, tourism, and digital transformation specializations, and to supply the labor market with qualified technical competencies in fields with increasing demand.
Evening studies also continue in the previously accredited departments, which are Community Health Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Renewable Energy Engineering Technology, Building and Construction Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, and Accounting Technology, providing students with diverse study pathways within medical, engineering, and administrative specializations.
This expansion in evening study programs comes within the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in developing its educational system and diversifying technical education opportunities, in alignment with development requirements and the need of institutions and the labor market for specialized technical and professional specializations, and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in introducing academic programs and developing technical education pathways.
