Within the framework of Karbala Polytechnic College’s strategy aimed at developing academic and administrative performance and enhancing digital transformation, the College Council held its ninth open session (Part Three) for the academic year 2025-2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Dhaher, and in the presence of the Associate Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadel Al-Yasiri, and the council members, to discuss a number of scientific and administrative files listed on the agenda.

The session commenced with a discussion of the final examination results for first-stage students (first attempt). The council reviewed the success rates in the scientific departments and discussed the statistical indicators of the results, emphasizing the importance of analyzing them and utilizing them in developing the educational process, upgrading the students’ academic level, and developing appropriate solutions to enhance academic performance during the upcoming stages.

The council also discussed the mechanisms for completing graduation researches in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasizing adherence to the ministerial controls and instructions regarding the preparation of projects and researches, ensuring their scientific rigor and academic quality, and enhancing the students’ research and innovation skills.

The council also addressed the completion stages of the Student Information System (SIS) requirements, stressing the need to complete data entry and update it accurately, ensuring the swift completion of academic and administrative procedures, and keeping pace with the requirements of digital transformation and electronic governance in higher education institutions.

During the session, the Dean emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified timelines for completing all academic and administrative requirements, working with a team spirit, and enhancing coordination between scientific departments and administrative divisions, which contributes to developing institutional performance and achieving the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

At the conclusion of the session, the council stressed the continuation of implementing development plans, upgrading the quality of the educational process, and activating electronic systems to enhance the efficiency of services provided to students and keep pace with modern developments in university education.

The convening of this session comes in alignment with the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at developing the university environment, enhancing digital transformation, and upgrading the quality of academic and administrative performance, thereby achieving sustainable development goals and raising the efficiency of technical education outcomes.
