As part of its scientific and training activities aimed at developing staff capabilities and refining their applied skills, the Department of Tourism Technologies at Karbala Polytechnic College—a formation of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU)—organized a training program titled “Skills of Creative Tourism Marketing.” The program ran from October 12 to 16, 2025.
The five-day training program covered diverse topics, including the intellectual foundations of creativity in tourism institutions, the importance of marketing-oriented thinking in facility development, creativity management in organizations, marketing of tourism services, and skill development based on modern concepts of innovation.
Lectures were delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Najm Abdul-Aal Al-Daami and Assistant Lecturer Rasool Taher Al-Asadi. They provided scientific and practical insights to enable participants to apply creativity in tourism marketing practices in line with modern market requirements.
The program aims to prepare innovative tourism professionals capable of keeping pace with developments in modern tourism marketing, enhancing their creative thinking abilities, and applying marketing skills to advance the tourism sector.
This activity is part of a series of courses and workshops implemented by the Department of Tourism Technologies, reflecting the polytechnic system’s approach of integrating academic knowledge with practical skills. This methodology contributes to preparing professional cadres capable of meeting the demands of the dynamic tourism labor market.
