The Dean of Karbala Technical Institute chaired a large meeting for the general body of faculty members, technicians, and administrative staff.

Dr. Fadhel Mohammed Zaher, the Dean of Karbala Technical Institute, held an extensive meeting with the members of the general body of faculty, technicians, and administrative staff. The meeting was attended by the Scientific Assistant Dean, Dr. Mohammed Fadhel Neama, and the Administrative Assistant Dean, Dr. Ali Kazem Al-Sharifi.

The Dean opened the meeting by reviewing the achievements made during the academic year 2023-2024, which included the following:

• Academic promotions for the 2023-2024 academic year to date.
• Domestic and international studies at various levels.
• The number of enrolled students for the 2024-2025 academic year in both morning and evening sessions.
• The implementation of guidance seminars, workshops, and continuous education forums.

Additionally, the Dean reviewed the establishment of new laboratories, including:

1. Parasitology Laboratories / Medical Laboratories Department,
2. Tissue and Preparation Laboratories / Medical Laboratories Department,
3. Renewable Energy Laboratory,
4. Chemistry Laboratory / Community Health Department.

The academic year also saw the organization of the Arbaeen pilgrimage conference in collaboration with international universities, as well as the Third Employment Conference of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, with participation from private sector companies.

On his part, the Scientific Assistant Dean, Dr. Mohammed Fadhel Neama, emphasized the importance of increasing the Institute’s representation in local and global research

repositories, improving educational practices, enhancing student outcomes, and fostering their academic and cultural development. He also urged the intensification of activities that contribute to serving and developing the community.

Meanwhile, the Administrative Assistant Dean, Dr. Ali Kazem Al-Sharifi, addressed a range of administrative and service-related issues, particularly focusing on maintaining a sustainable campus environment. The meeting also included a session for open discussions and questions, which were addressed during the session.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean expressed his gratitude to the attendees and wished them success in their work.
