Karbala Technical Institute, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, invites its dear students to participate in the grand national reading competition “A Nation Reads” – Season Two, organized by the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussainiya Shrine in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This is a national cultural, competitive, and sustainable project aimed at encouraging society members to continue creative and purposeful reading, which enables them to gain knowledge and apply it across various life fields.
Participation Conditions:
- Age between 18 and 24 years, for both students and former students.
- Read 10 books across 5 out of 10 available topics. (If you select the Arabic Language topic, you must read two books and a sermon).
Available Topics:
- Quran Interpretation
- Islamic Thought
- Ethics
- Sciences
- Human Development
- Management and Economics
- Arabic Literature and Oratory
- Social Sciences
- Artificial Intelligence
- Philosophy and Logic
Prizes:
- First place: 20 million Iraqi Dinars
- Second place: 15 million Iraqi Dinars
- Third place: 10 million Iraqi Dinars
- Winner from each governorate: 1 million Iraqi Dinars
Competition Stages and Process:
- Registration begins with the selection of the five topics to be read.
- Initial rounds will be held within universities from April 6-17, 2025.
- The top three winners from each governorate will be selected during the same period.
- The final rounds will take place in Karbala during Muhammadi Week, with the competition between the top winners from each governorate.
