Within the framework of the Information Technology Engineering Department’s endeavor at Karbala Polytechnic College to consolidate the quality of education and enhance the academic environment supporting excellence, the department organized a seminar titled “Data Classification Based on Machine Learning Techniques,” at the department’s hall, attended by a gathering of faculty members and staff.
The organization of this scientific seminar came within the department’s plans aimed at developing cognitive and research capabilities. It addressed a number of scientific axes that focused on introducing the latest technologies used in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence for classifying and analyzing data and determining its categories. This contributes to building a solid knowledge base that supports technical education outcomes and keeps pace with rapid developments in this field.
The seminar witnessed distinguished scientific interaction from the attendees, represented in interventions and discussions that reflected the participants’ interest in the importance of employing artificial intelligence techniques in data processing. Furthermore, a number of visions and proposals were presented to contribute to enhancing the applied aspect of the discussed scientific concepts.
Prof. Dr. Wathiq Lafta Abdul Ali affirmed that such scientific activities represent one of the fundamental pillars in developing academic performance. They reflect the college’s keenness to provide society with qualified scientific competencies capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements and contemporary cognitive developments.
This activity comes in the context of the directions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at elevating the quality of university education and enhancing the role of academic institutions in serving society and developing scientific research.
