The Building and Construction Technology Engineering Department at Karbala Polytechnic College organized a seminar titled “The Impact of the Cement Manufacturing Process on the Environment: Challenges and Sustainable Solutions,” presented by Prof. Dr. Issam Mohammed Ali, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar introduced the stages of the cement manufacturing process and the raw materials involved in its production, while shedding light on the environmental impacts resulting from this industry and the pollutants and environmental challenges it causes.
The seminar also reviewed the most prominent sustainable solutions and modern procedures that can be adopted to mitigate the environmental impacts of the cement industry, contributing to achieving a balance between the requirements of industrial development and environmental preservation.
