Karbala Polytechnic College has begun the planning and implementation of a project to establish a new scientific department (the Information Technology Engineering Department) within the college campus. This is under the direct supervision of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Dhaher, within the framework of its strategic plans aimed at developing infrastructure and academic expansion.
This project comes in response to the requirements of the institutional transformation from a technical institute to a polytechnic college, along with the accompanying expansion in scientific programs and the introduction of new specializations. Furthermore, it addresses the significant increase in the number of admitted students, which necessitates providing an integrated educational environment to accommodate this rapid growth.
The Dean affirmed that the project is considered an important step within a comprehensive development plan aimed at enhancing the College’s absorption capacity. It seeks to provide modern educational spaces, specialized laboratories, and classrooms that suit the requirements of modern academic paths, in line with quality standards in technical and applied education.
He added that the College is proceeding with deliberate steps toward updating its infrastructure in accordance with the vision of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting technical education institutions and elevating the level of educational services provided to students.
This project reflects the College Deanship’s keenness to keep pace with academic developments and enhance the position of Karbala Polytechnic College as a leading educational institution that actively contributes to serving the community and supporting the development process in the province.
