Within the framework of awareness efforts aimed at protecting youth and guiding them toward safe paths, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at Karbala Polytechnic College organized an awareness seminar titled “Reducing the Risks of Illegal Immigration,” attended by a number of students.

The Unit hosted Ms. Alaa, a representative from the Ministry of Migration and Displaced, under the supervision of the Guidance Officer, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Hamid Kadhim. The lecturer addressed the most prominent risks that young people may face when attempting to migrate through illegal means, including exploitation, human trafficking, and health and security risks, as well as the legal consequences associated with illegal immigration.

The seminar also reviewed safe alternatives and opportunities available to youth within the country, emphasizing the importance of awareness, making knowledge-based decisions, and avoiding false promises promoted by illegal immigration brokers.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the Guidance Officer extended his thanks and appreciation to the lecturer for her valuable efforts, confirming that the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit will continue to organize such seminars aimed at protecting students and enhancing their awareness of various societal issues.
