Karbala Technical Institute held a specialized meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Fadel Mohammed Thaher, Dean of the Institute, to explore strategies for enhancing information management systems in higher education. The discussion focused on the development of Human Resources (HR) systems and the Student Information System (SIS), as part of a broader effort to boost administrative and academic efficiency and promote digital transformation across the sector.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for updating and unifying databases related to faculty and administrative personnel through the modernization of the HR system. The aim is to align with contemporary standards in human resource management, enabling easier access to accurate data and improving strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Additionally, the SIS—used for managing academic and student affairs electronically—was a key focus. Participants discussed the importance of integrating SIS with HR systems to ensure seamless information flow across the institution. Such integration is expected to enhance the quality of educational and administrative services and align with the evolving demands of digital transformation in higher education.
Dean Thaher emphasized the need to adopt advanced technological solutions and to establish a secure, integrated IT infrastructure. He underlined that these efforts are crucial for sustaining institutional development and elevating operational efficiency in a rapidly changing academic landscape.
